Why Use Claude Motion Graphics
Each animation is built from a Motion template as code, so it plays like a short video and stays editable down to a single word.
- Code-Built Animation, Not a Video ModelClaude animates the text, charts, shapes, and images inside your file through code, so it never invents realistic footage or people.
- Every Animation Lands in ArtifactsAnything you create is stored automatically in the Artifacts tab, ready to reopen, keep refining, or share a second time.
- Surgical Edits, Untouched ScenesBecause the animation is code, changing one word, one figure, or one timing cue leaves the rest of the piece exactly as it was.
How to Create Claude Motion Graphics
Three steps take you from a written brief to a finished animation you can export or share.
Claude Motion Graphics Features
From grounding an animation in your own files to deciding who can watch it, here is what the workflow covers.
Grounded in Your Content
Feed in your report, dataset, or visuals and tell Claude the audience, the venue, and an approximate runtime for a stronger result.
Revisions by Chat
Ask for a slower second scene or a new Q3 figure and the change is applied without rebuilding the whole animation.
Direct Editor Control
Prefer to work by hand? Adjust the animation yourself in the editor instead of describing every adjustment.
MP4 Export
Click Export and pick MP4 to download the finished piece for an all-hands, a board deck, or customer onboarding.
Private Until You Share
Animations start visible only to you; open one and click Share to send it out, including across your organization.
Plan and Admin Controls
It runs in beta on Team and Enterprise, switched on by an Owner in Organization settings > Artifacts, with group limits via custom roles.
Claude Motion Graphics — FAQ
Common questions about availability, editing, exports, and usage limits.
Which plans include it, and is it on by default?
It is beta on Team and Enterprise plans. Team keeps it on by default; Enterprise leaves it off until an Owner enables it in Organization settings > Artifacts.
Does it generate realistic footage or people?
No. It does not use a video generation model, so there is no live-action footage or human subject — text, charts, shapes, and images are animated as code.
Can I change one word, number, or timing without a rebuild?
Yes. Since each piece is code, a single detail can be swapped and the other scenes stay exactly where they were.
How do I download or share the finished animation?
Click Export and choose MP4 to download it, or open the animation and click Share — it stays private to you until you do.
How does it affect my usage limit?
Animations count toward your plan limits like any other work in Claude, and a long or intricate piece draws more than a routine message.
Can admins control access or who reaches human support?
Owners toggle it in Organization settings > Artifacts and can scope it to groups; Enterprise admins can also name support contacts to decide which members reach human support.
Start Your First Claude Motion Graphics Piece
Open a chat or the Artifacts tab, choose a Motion template, and describe the animation you need — an Owner may need to switch it on first.
