Why Teams Use Claude Motion

Claude Motion reshapes the reports, charts and product steps you already have into short animations you can play, export and share.

  • Code-Built Animation, Not Generated Footage
Each animation is an artifact generated from the Motion template — code that brings the text, charts, shapes and images inside it to life.
  • Change One Detail, Keep Everything Else
Animations are code, so tweaking one word, figure or beat leaves every other part of the clip untouched.
  • Every Animation Is Saved as an Artifact
Your animations land in the Artifacts tab automatically, filed next to everything else you have made in Claude.

How to Use Claude Motion

Create an animation in three simple steps with Claude Motion.

Claude Motion Features

From the Motion template to MP4 export, Claude Motion covers the explainers, charts and walkthroughs teams need most.

Motion Template as the Starting Point

Head to the Artifacts tab, choose a Motion template, then describe the animation you have in mind.

Say Who Watches, Where, How Long

Naming your audience, the playback context and a target length helps Claude Motion shape a tighter animation.

Attach Your Own Report, Data or Images

Bring your own source material — a deck, a dataset, a screenshot — so the animation is drawn from your real material.

Built for Explainers, Charts and Walkthroughs

Short-form pieces are the sweet spot: company-meeting updates, revenue visuals for leadership, step-by-step onboarding clips.

Export as MP4 Video

A finished animation can be saved from Claude Motion as an MP4 file through the Export option.

Private by Default, Sharing on Your Terms

New animations are visible only to you; you decide when to share, and admins decide whether sharing leaves the organization.

FAQ

Claude Motion — FAQ

1

Which plans include Claude Motion, and is it on by default?

Claude Motion is in beta on Team and Enterprise plans. It is enabled by default on Team, and stays off on Enterprise until an owner turns it on.

2

How do owners enable or restrict Claude Motion for an organization?

Admins manage availability from the Artifacts area of Organization settings. Enterprise owners can additionally scope it to chosen groups using custom roles.

Every animation you create with Claude Motion is saved in the Artifacts tab, where you can also start a new one from the Motion template.

5

How do I download or share a finished animation?

Choose Export, then MP4, to save the file. New animations are visible only to you until you open one and click Share.

6

Does Claude Motion count toward my plan's usage limits?

Yes — they draw on the same plan limits as your other Claude work, and complex clips consume more than a normal message.

Start Animating with Claude Motion

Open a chat or the Artifacts tab, choose the Motion template and describe the explainer, chart or walkthrough you have in mind. Enterprise owners may need to enable it first.
